Sleeper Train

The Mavi Tren (Blue Train) is one of Turkey’s most iconic long-distance sleeper services, operated by the Turkish State Railways (TCDD). Originally named for its distinctive blue-painted cars, it remains a nostalgic and highly practical way to travel between major cities.

• Dining Car: Most Mavi Tren services include a dining car serving snacks, hot tea, coffee, and simple meals (like meatballs or breakfast plates). Note: Alcohol is generally not served on Turkish domestic trains.

• Shared Facilities: Each carriage has shared toilets (usually one "Western" style and one "Eastern/Alaturka" style) at the ends of the hall.
